In a pinch, I can lay down though that hole when the back seat is down. Also camper means any overnight trip will probably be done with a truck means no need for a wagon to lay down for a night. I will get a truck so I can tow motorcycle with it. I have a Saab for fun, although it’s not a high performance car, I love driving it, and motorcycles for a bit of performance. But like said, this will be a daily, so I’ll sacrifice things like nice interior. Yeah I’m afraid to step down on interior from a Lexus to Subaru. It has a CVT as well but the Fords paddle shifters and the way the CVT reacts sucks compared to the Suby CVT paddle's and engagement. Her Ford Escape with the twin turbo 2.0 can run circles around this turd. Wife has my nuts in a vise on this one hah. Have owned like five of these and my 09' was my fave. You have to anticipate almost to get the tranny's to think or operate the right way.they suck. Trip to Yellowstone surprised me cuz even at 75-80 was able to stick my foot in it and actually feel passing gear. Your right the CVT's do suck and you have to drive em like a grandpa because if you shove your foot into the pedal they just spin and its like their brain does't work. Mount Bachelor uses the 6 in the company rigs. Motorcycles have got more power and don't push around nearly 3500-4000 lbs. Have had this one a bit over 6 years and I frickin hate it too. And the cvt transmission can die in a fire. Attach anything to the roof and mileage plummets, plus it gets really loud. Mileage is unimpressive (upper 20's) considering the engine is so fucking gutless. The clearance is definitely nice on rutty winter roads. If Impreza doesn’t really work on potholes and rutted out snowy road and Crosstrek is recommend, should I consider forester and outback since fuel economy is about the same for these 3 models? If I get a wagon, do you think I can mount the box far back? Why would I need to open the hatch for that small space behind the seats when I have all the storage space above? Can skybox be mounted on Impreza that far back? I would get a wagon but looks like the cargo box sits far too front and sticks above the windshield anyway so not sure what added benefit is with a wagon. so if I have to have it, should I go with a sedan since cargo box adds wind resistance and I can get better mpg to begin with in sedan to start? (Only 1mpg.). Other question is about a roof top cargo box. Or should I raise Impreza because it gets a great mpg compared to Crosstrek? I’m considering Impreza but interested about finding out if it’s too low and added ground clearance of Crosstrek is necessary. I have a few questions for those who drives Subaru now. So I think a cheap fuel efficient commuter might be a good fit for me. I’m planning on buying a truck and a slide in camper in a next couple of years. Adding it’s terrible fuel efficiency, I’m thinking about getting rid of it. It’s still in a good shape but with 180k miles, major service is coming up and tires will need to be replaced soon. Pictured above on a 2010 Subaru Outback is the Yakima SkyBox Pro 16s - also a great fit, and available in 2 different finishes. My current ride is 03 Lexus RX300 AWD. Now you can use your old classics instead of mounting them over the fireplace in the living room. Yahooooooooo! Look at that hatch clear! And the Thule Boxter Fits up to a 195cm Ski. ie: customer below that had a old Packasport 90 they wanted to use - and could not. We've had many customers show up at our doorstep with their new 2010 Subaru Outback and their OLD luggage box (usually around 90" long) that does not clear the hatch/spoiler. Thule 611 Boxter - 85" Long X 35" Wide X 16" Tall Here are some cargo carriers that fit on your wagon without aving to worry about the hatch! While the Outback does come with factory crossbars (ones we're not too stoked on), they are located so far back on the car most cargo boxes end up making contact with the hatch.
